Abstract
⺠LD50 value of 3-MCPD 1-monopalmitate was 2676.81 mg/kg body weight. ⺠LD50 value of 3-MCPD dipalmitate was greater than 5000 mg/kg body weight. ⺠3-MCPD 1-monopalmitate and dipalmitate caused tubular necrosis, protein casts and decrease of spermatids in Swiss mice. ⺠3-MCPD 1-monopalmitate displayed cytotoxicity to NRK-52E rat kidney cells. ⺠3-MCPD dipalmitate had no cytotoxicity to NRK-52E rat kidney cells.
