► Distribution/composition profiles of fatty acids in different fish tissues varied. ► Distributions of PCBs/PBDEs in different part of muscles varied. ► Fish tissues were generally beneficial for human health based on their PUFAs. ► Benefit-risk of co-ingestion of fatty acids, PCBs, and PBDEs were evaluated. ► The health risk consuming the dorsal muscle was generally lower than other muscles.
