Abstract
⺠Antioxidant properties of phloroglucinol were studied in vitro and in HepG2 cells. ⺠Phloroglucinol showed higher radical scavenging capacity than Trolox in vitro. ⺠Phloroglucinol modulates the response of antioxidant defences in HepG2 cells. ⺠Phloroglucinol protects from lipid peroxidation in cells under oxidative stress.
