Abstract
⺠The high-dose therapy with cisplatin is limited by its cumulative nephrotoxicity. ⺠We evaluated the protective potential of rutin, a naturally occurring flavonoid, against cisplatin induced nephrotoxicity. ⺠Rutin modulated the cisplatin induced inflammation and apoptosis by abrogating the expression of NFκB, TNF-α and caspase-3. ⺠These findings were further supported by results of oxidative stress and histopathology.
