Abstract
⺠Caco-2 cells were used as a model of the intestinal absorption of domoic acid. ⺠An anion exchange inhibitor inhibited the uptake of domoic acid in Caco-2 cells. ⺠The absorption of domoic acid may be mediated by anion exchange transporters.
