Abstract
⺠We studied crude ethanol and water extracts of red maple tissues. ⺠We determined various phenol contents of these extracts. ⺠Radical scavenging activities against five ROS and one RNS were determined. ⺠Stem bark extracts were the most efficient against all ROS except for RNS. ⺠Good correlations determined between total phenols and AE for ROO and ClOâ radicals.
