Abstract
► We studied crude ethanol and water extracts of red maple tissues. ► We determined various phenol contents of these extracts. ► Radical scavenging activities against five ROS and one RNS were determined. ► Stem bark extracts were the most efficient against all ROS except for RNS. ► Good correlations determined between total phenols and AE for ROO and ClO− radicals.
