Abstract
⺠Development of fatty liver in mice fed SM supplemented diet, but not in WBM supplemented diet. ⺠SM induced histological changes in the liver were reversible within two weeks of stopping SM diet. ⺠a moderate reduction of liver glycogen content in mice fed SM diet, but not those fed WBM diet. ⺠SM-induced fatty changes were confined to the liver, sparing heart and kidneys suggesting liver is the target for SM. ⺠SM diet did not induce hepatic, cardiac, renal hypertrophies and or atrophies.
