Abstract
⺠Nephrotoxicity is the dose limiting side effects of cisplatin, an anticancer agent. ⺠Carnosic acid significantly attenuated the renal injury, oxidative stress and apoptosis associated with cisplatin therapy. ⺠Both biochemical and histopathology data correlate the renoprotective effect of carnosic acid. ⺠Carnosic acid may find role in reducing the complications of renal dysfunction with cisplatin in cancer chemotherapy.
