Abstract
⺠Ethanolic extracts of A. paniculata and S. chirayita showed hepatoprotecting property. ⺠Various phytochemicals were found in both plants extracts. ⺠A. paniculata had 14 phytochemicals and S. chirayita had 10 phytochemicals, respectively, on HPTLC analysis. ⺠Two compounds were found identical in both extracts as confirmed by HPLC.
