Abstract
► The biomarkers were evaluated in clams exposed to Cd and BaP. ► The combined toxicity of Cd and BaP is much higher than single contaminant. ► The mixture of Cd and BaP induce the oxidative enzyme activities more significantly. ► A significant interaction was observed for Cd and BaP accumulation in the clam. ► There are some differences in response in clam to single and combined contaminants.
