Abstract
⺠Bixin does not increase the cytotoxicity of cisplatin under the evaluated conditions. ⺠Overall, we observed potential protective effects associated with bixin. ⺠Bixin can function as a protective agent, reducing cisplatin-induced DNA damage. ⺠The antioxidant effects of bixin may have contributed to the antigenotoxic effects.
