Abstract
⺠Porcine plasma protein hydrolysate (PPH) was prepared by alcalase. ⺠Pre-treatment male rats with PPH could reduce CCl4 induced liver damage. ⺠The mechanisms of liver protection of PPH were studied. ⺠PPH could increase the activities of antioxidatant enzymes of the liver. ⺠Liver histopathology showed PPH reduced the incidence of liver lesions in rats.
