Abstract
► A cellular impedance biosensor was developed for profiling the cytotoxicity of cigarette smoke. ► This biosensor could non-invasively quantify cellular status in real-time. ► Real-time monitoring offered valid evidences for optimization of experimental condition. ► Label-free and real-time monitoring improved the reproducibility and accuracy. ► The reversibility of the toxic effects could be monitored by dynamic IC50 value.
