Abstract
⺠Furan reduced the %DNA in comet tails of turkey egg hepatocytes at 24 h. ⺠Finding of reduced comet tails indicates DNA-protein crosslinks. ⺠Proteinase digestion increased comet tails, showing DNA strand breaks. ⺠1,3-Propanediol (PD) was not toxic and induced DNA-protein crosslinks. ⺠Furan and PD produced DNA damage in turkey egg hepatocytes.
