Abstract
⺠The influence of the stage of ripeness on composition of Ficus carica was assessed. ⺠Fruits of the first harvest (June) showed a major content in furocoumarins. ⺠Fruits collected in September showed the highest polyphenolic content. ⺠The total extracts exhibited a significant dose-dependent antioxidant activity. ⺠Dichloromethane fractions showed the best photodynamic cytotoxicity on C32 cells.
