Abstract
► The influence of the stage of ripeness on composition of Ficus carica was assessed. ► Fruits of the first harvest (June) showed a major content in furocoumarins. ► Fruits collected in September showed the highest polyphenolic content. ► The total extracts exhibited a significant dose-dependent antioxidant activity. ► Dichloromethane fractions showed the best photodynamic cytotoxicity on C32 cells.
