Abstract
⺠Mild untreated hyperlipidemia is associated with oxidative stress in healthy men. ⺠Smoking, independent of hyperlipidemia, alters some oxidative stress biomarkers. ⺠Mild hyperlipidemia increases the risk of atherosclerosis, particularly in smokers.
