Abstract
⺠Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) is the most abundantly used plasticizer. ⺠DEHP has deleterious effect potential on male reproductive system. ⺠Its main metabolite MEHP induced p53 and p21 in LNCaP cells. ⺠Overall data showed that oxidative stress underlies toxicities of DEHP and MEHP. ⺠Selenium was protective against the oxidative potential of DEHP and MEHP.
