► Vincristine (75 μg/kg, i.p. for 10 days) induces painful neuropathy in rats. ► Acorus calamus L. (AC) attenuates vincristine induced painful neuropathy. ► It may be due to multiple actions of AC. ► Probably anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and calcium inhibitory actions of AC.
