Abstract
⺠In vitro antimutagenic activity of the extract of Phellinus rimosus was evaluated. ⺠The activity was evaluated by Ames' test. ⺠Extract was effective against direct acting mutagens and mutagen needing activation. ⺠The effect was partially ascribed to the antioxidant activity. ⺠Results indicate the possible antitumor mechanisms of P. rimosus.
