Abstract
⺠A novel PCR-based assay was developed to specifically detect Bacillus sporothermodurans. ⺠Propidium monoazide-PCR was used to detect only viable B. sporothermodurans cells. ⺠This method has been applied successfully to detect B. sporothermodurans in milk.
