Abstract
⺠We developed multiplex PCR to detect aflatoxigenic fungi in meju. ⺠Two different sets of three primers were designed for the omtB, ver-1, aflR, and omtA genes. ⺠Only aflatoxigenic Aspergillus species gave complete amplification in both primer sets. ⺠This method may provide an accurate and specific detection of aflatoxigenic Aspergillus in meju.
