Abstract
► Vibrio tubiashii produced a hydroxymate-like siderophore at low iron conditions. ► Iron-chelated conditions induced outer membrane proteins production in V. tubiashii. ► OMPs identified: HutA, metalloprotease, and fatty acid transport protein. ► V. tubiashii contained a ferric uptake repressor protein (fur) gene. ► V. tubiashii induced fluid accumulation response in suckling mice.
