Abstract
⺠A newly isolated phage controlled Listeria monocytogenes under refrigeration. ⺠The effect was rapid and dose dependent. ⺠A high concentration of phages is needed for successful pathogen control. ⺠The high concentration used does not mean that the mechanism is lysis from without.
