Abstract
⺠Development of RTi-PCR tests based on idh gene to quantify patulin-producing molds. ⺠A high linear correlation between idh gene copy number and Ct values is found. ⺠RTi-PCR SYBR Green and TaqMan probe developed showed high sensitivity in foods. ⺠These methods allow an accurate quantification of patulin fungal growth in foods. ⺠RTi-PCR developed should be used to monitor patulin-producing mold in foods.
