Abstract
												⺠E. coli O157 remains the most dominant VTEC in Irish cattle at slaughter. ⺠Clinically significant non-O157 VTEC are present in Irish cattle at slaughter. ⺠Transfer of VTEC from hide or faeces to carcass was not observed.
