► Norwegian bottled waters meet current quality criteria. ► Norwegian bottled waters contain large bacterial populations and some fungi. ► Psychrotolerant alpha- and betaproteobacteria are the dominant flora. ► Bacterial growth, and the survival time of E. coli in brand waters correlate with their content of AOC.
