Abstract
âºComparative genomic tools are useful for identifying DNA fragments specific to Salmonella serogroups. âºThis novel multiplex PCR could correctly identify Salmonella serogroups A, B, C1, C2, and D. âºA total 32 DNA fragments were identified, which contain 34 conserved genes specific to Salmonella serogroups A through D. âºMost of 34 genes are probably associated with traits that confer specific serotypic chraracteristics to Salmonella serogroups.
