Abstract
► A rapid method was developed to analyse 16 OC and PY pesticides in pepper. ► Pepper contains volatile oil and piperine which interfere with GC analysis. ► Pesticides were extracted with acetonitrile and cleanup with silica gel. ► Final extract contain reduced matrix interferences and colour intensity. ► Modified method showed high sensitivity, good repeatability and recoveries.
