Abstract
⺠Higher bacterial counts were found in traditionally grown and organic lettuce. ⺠Sodium hypoclorite and acetic acid were effective in reducing bacterial counts. ⺠Occurrence of parasites was higher in traditionally grown and organic lettuce.
