Abstract
⺠We investigate natural infection and aflatoxins in marketed cassava chips. ⺠Fourteen genera of fungi were isolated and identified to species. ⺠Toxigenic Aspergillus flavus species are encountered. ⺠Aflatoxin was not detected in any of the samples analyzed using HPLC-PHRED.
