Abstract
⺠We developed a molecular method for the detection of pathogenic vibrio species. ⺠A set of specific primer pairs was employed in the multiplex RTi-PCR assay. ⺠Lower detection level was less than ten genome copies per reaction. ⺠Our optimized method was shown to achieve theoretical maximum sensitivity.
