Abstract
⺠Fresh-cut apples and pineapples were treated by high pressure argon and xenon mix. ⺠Effects of the treatments on wound healing of the fresh-cut fruits were investigated. ⺠Effects of the treatments on wound-induced resistance to infection were investigated. ⺠The treatments promoted the wound-healing responses in the fresh-cut fruits. ⺠The treatments enhanced the wound-induced resistance to Escherichia coli or Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
