Abstract
► This is the first antioxidant study of different parts of Myristica fragrans. ► Pericarp is the main source of metal-chelating compounds. ► The highest total phenolic content, DPPH and FRAP activities were found in shell. ► Aril and seed-kernel have both antibacterial and antioxidant activities. ► The results may provide added value to this plants.
