Abstract
► The bacteriocin-like peptide P34 was encapsulated in phosphatidylcholine nanovesicles. ► The antimicrobial activity decreased about 50% after 4 days in skim and whole milk. ► Encapsulated P34 was inhibitory to L. monocytogenes in whole and skim milk. ► Nanovesicle-encapsulated P34 shows potential for application in milk-derived products.
