Abstract
► Several chemical descriptors were used to differentiate the geographical origin of European beers. ► BS-LDA selected Fe, P, K, PO43− and TPC as the most discriminant variables. ► SVMs allow 99.3% efficiency in the differentiation between the countries of origin.
