Abstract
⺠Aerosolization is the dispersion of liquid as a fine mist in air. ⺠Levels of three pathogens were significantly reduced by treatment with aerosolized malic acid. ⺠No significant influences on quality of spinach and lettuce were observed after aerosolization treatment. ⺠Aerosolized malic acid might be used as an alternative sanitizer during transportation and storage.
