Abstract
► The volatiles of two Lamaiaceae plants were analyzed by HS-SPME and GC-qMS. ► Experimental optimization: fibre, incubation temperature and extraction time. ► 72 volatiles were identified in the M.×piperita L. and M. spicata L. fresh leaves. ► Monoterpenes, sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, and oxygenated monoterpenes are the main VOMs. ► HS-SPME/GC-qMS allows to differentiate the volatile pattern from Lamiaceae plants.
