Abstract
► We studied with consumers the pairing of three chocolates and eighteen beverages. ► The liking of each chocolate and each beverage and of the related pairs was measured. ► The match level of chocolate and beverage pair was rated on a JAR scale. ► Some beverages appeared to be more proper and versatile partners for chocolate. ► The chocolate and beverage pair liking depended mainly on the beverage liking.
