Abstract
⺠Spores were identified through microscopic techniques in products containing truffles. ⺠A new method to extract DNA from food products was tested. ⺠New specific Tuber magnatum primers were developed. ⺠T. magnatum was authenticated and quantified in creams and butter by means of qPCR. ⺠T. melanosporum, which was not listed on the label, was detected.
