Abstract
► Total phenolic, tannin and anthocyanin levels were higher in genotype BRS 305. ► Weight gain, epididymal fat, triglycerides and total and HDL-cholesterol were similar. ► Blood glucose, fructosamine, liver enzymes and superoxide dismutase did not differ. ► The BRS 310 genotype high fat diet exhibited lower levels of liver MDA and TNF-α. ► Villi height of all tested groups did not differ.
