Abstract
⺠We study exotic fruits gabiroba/ murici for genotoxicity and mutagenicity effects. ⺠Both fruits protect hepatocytes and erythrocytes cells from DNA breaks. ⺠High concentration of Murici provided the highest protection against H2O2 and CPA. ⺠Propyl/ethyl gallate, catechin, ferulic acid and resveratrol were the compounds found in the fruits.
