Abstract
► Food-drug interaction was studied with C. annuum, M. koenigii, Z. officinale. ► Marker profiling and standardization of the above plants extracts were established. ► CYP450 inhibition of the extracts and the bioactive components were studied. ► Test substances have negligible inhibition potential with CYP3A4, 2D6, 2C9, 1A2. ► Spices and their bioactive compounds did not interfere with other drug metabolism.
