Abstract
⺠Dietary phenolic compound intake is inversely related to cardiovascular diseases. ⺠Myocardial infarction affects a large proportion in the world. ⺠Isoproterenol induction alters the levels of lipids, lipoproteins and glycoproteins. ⺠Caffeic acid pretreatment maintains lipids, lipoproteins and glycoproteins. ⺠Thus, caffeic acid prevents myocardial infarction.
