Abstract
⺠An autolysis method was used to extract chondroitin sulfate from chicken cartilage. ⺠Most (>90%) of uronic acid was extracted from the cartilage tissues. ⺠Chondroitin sulfate chain had 4-sulfate disaccharide as a predominant disaccharide. ⺠Chondroitin sulfate-peptide contained serine as a predominant amino acid.
