Abstract
⺠Pestalotia mangiferae and Curvularia lunata are important postharvest fungi of mango fruit. ⺠We tested the effect of ethanol and heat on the control of these fungi and on fruit quality. ⺠The combination of ethanol and heat seriously affected in vitro growth. ⺠A complete disease control was achieved at 300 ml/L ethanol with 50 °C ⺠Treated fruit followed the normal ripening evolution.
