Abstract
► Pestalotia mangiferae and Curvularia lunata are important postharvest fungi of mango fruit. ► We tested the effect of ethanol and heat on the control of these fungi and on fruit quality. ► The combination of ethanol and heat seriously affected in vitro growth. ► A complete disease control was achieved at 300 ml/L ethanol with 50 °C ► Treated fruit followed the normal ripening evolution.
