Preparation and characterization of pure and KBr doped polymer blend (PVC/PEO) electrolyte thin films

- PVC/PEO complexed with KBr has high ionic conductivity of 10−5 S cm−1 at 30 °C.
- Conductivity-temperature plots show Arrhenius nature and two activation energies.
- Potassium exhibited strong interaction with PVC/PEO using solution cast technique.
- Polymer blend can be effectively doped with KBr to improve its ionic conductivity.
- The optical band gaps decreased with increasing of K+ ion concentration.
