Abstract
⺠Nanowires/nanorods can be simply prepared by selecting suitable precursor. ⺠Uniform nanowires were synthesized from very fine, amorphous-like precursor. ⺠Non-uniform nanorods were synthesized from agglomerated, well-crystalline precursor. ⺠Different crystallization is ascribed to different dissolution of the two precursors.
