Abstract
► Oral administration of palmitoleic acid dose-dependently induced satiety in rats. ► Palmitoleic acid suppressed appetite more effectively than oleic acid. ► Palmitoleic acid elevated levels of Cck and Pyy expression in intestinal tissues. ► CCK antagonist attenuated inhibitory effect of palmitoleic acid on food intake. ► Palmitoleic acid did not activate the PPARα signaling pathway to induce satiety.
