Abstract
The magnetic structures of Cr/X nanomultilayer systems with non-magnetic monolayer X are studied in the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau functional approach. A mechanism for spin-density wave ordering induced by the impurity plane defect X has been proposed. The spatial distribution of the antiferromagnetic order parameter within the superlattice [Cr/X] is described for various temperatures, different kinds of inserted monolayers X, and thickness of Cr layer. The results obtained are compared with recently reported data from Mossbauer spectroscopy measurements on epitaxial X/Cr/Sn/Cr multilayers (XÂ =Â V, Ag, or Fe).
