Dermatoza na podłożu psychogennym u 17-letniej pacjentki podejrzewanej o skazę krwotocznÄ

Psychodermatology is a new field of medicine which combines dermatological, psychological and psychiatric components. The impact of psychological function on generation or exacerbation of somatic diseases, including dermatological ones, is more often observed especially among young patients. Artificially induced dermatoses (dermatitis artefacta, DA) are a subgroup of primary psychiatric disorders, in which damage of the skin and its appendages is observed. We present a case of a 17-year-old girl with suspected haemorrhagic diathesis. Based upon the clinical picture, additional tests and a long-term psychotherapy we have confirmed the diagnosis of dermatitis artefacta. In the paper, we emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation between physicians and psychologists in the treatment of somatic diseases of unknown etiology, particularly if a psychogenic impact is suspected.
